Dave Mays began his auto repair business in response to numerous lackluster experiences he endured as a student at UF in Gainesville. Treating others as he would like to be treated was important to Dave but did not seem evident in the local auto repair community at that time.

Dave found that good communication with customers, associates, competitors and our local community college were the building blocks necessary for his continued business success. As business grew, Dave learned that taking good care of his customers and employees inspired this code of ethics.

Dave Mays Automotive continually challenges his team to do better. He found a customer’s expectations for quality can only be served by people with similar quality perspectives. Only then, problems become opportunities to grow and mistakes provide for positive change and learning. Dave found that quality people celebrate successes in this kind of environment, develop competency and character in their lives. Better people are more understanding, responsive and provide better results for all concerned.
